Parker GlobalCore hydraulic hoses –

Innovative hoses for your hydraulic system

Quick overview

  • A pressure-based range: the same working pressure in all sizes per series (70–420 bar)
  • Based on ISO 18752
  • Highly flexible hoses with a small bend radius
  • One-piece fittings (Series 43 & 48) and Interlock-approved assemblies with Series 77 – no hose skiving
  • Choose the cover to match the environment: Standard, ToughCover (TC) or SuperTough (ST)

What is Parker GlobalCore?

GlobalCore is Parker's standardised range of hydraulic hoses and matching one-piece fittings, which simplifies selection, assembly and operation for both OEM and MRO. The system comprises series 187, 387, 487, 722, 787 and 797 and is based on ISO 18752. At Hymatik we stock the entire range along with the associated fittings in Series 43, 48 and 77.

One of the major advantages of the system is that the hoses use one-piece hose couplings, providing maximum assurance of the best possible crimping of fittings. In addition, none of the hoses need skiving before the fittings are assembled.

Even in markets where interlock hose assemblies are required (normally skived hoses), Parker's GlobalCore together with Series 77 fittings is approved as Interlock hose assemblies – just without all the hassle of skiving the hoses inside and out.

Series and working pressures (same pressure in all sizes)

  • 187: 70 bar (sizes 1/2”–3”)
  • 387: 210 bar (sizes 1/4”–2”)
  • 487: 280 bar (sizes 1/4”–2”)
  • 722: 280 bar (sizes 3/8”–1”)
  • 787 (spiral): 350 bar (sizes 1/4”–2”)
  • 797 (spiral): 420 bar (sizes 1/4”–2”)

Features

  • Small bend radius – easy to install in compact installations
  • One-piece fittings for consistent, secure crimping – no skiving
  • Interlock approval with Series 77 without skiving the hose
  • Global consistency across EU/NA/Asia for security of supply
  • ISO 18752-based performance across applications

Outer rubber (cover): Choose abrasion resistance to match the environment

  • Standard: for normal environments
  • ToughCover (TC): approx. 80× more abrasion resistant than standard
  • SuperTough (ST): approx. 450× more abrasion resistant than standard

Tip: Choose TC/ST in abrasive environments, where there is frequent contact with sharp edges, or where hoses are often dragged across surfaces.

Typical applications

  • Mobile and stationary hydraulic systems with high impulse loads and vibration
  • Harsh environments with abrasive loads, sharp edges and tight installation conditions
  • Global machine platforms where standardisation and availability are essential

Fittings and compatibility

  • Series 43 and 48: one-piece solutions for fast, secure assembly
  • Series 77: Interlock-approved assemblies for demanding operation – without skiving

GlobalCore hydraulic hoses from Parker Hannifin

Comparison: 787 vs. 797

  • Pressure: 787 = 350 bar; 797 = 420 bar
  • Application: 787 for high impulse up to 350 bar; 797 when 420 bar and an extra safety margin are required
  • Construction: Both are spiral hoses designed for high impulse and durability

Comparison: ToughCover (TC) vs. SuperTough (ST)

  • TC: greatly increased abrasion resistance – a strong all-round solution for demanding environments
  • ST: maximum abrasion protection – ideal for highly abrasive environments and frequent contact with sharp edges

Best practice for assembly and routing

  • Keep the bend radius within the manufacturer's minimum; avoid twisting during assembly
  • Use suitable clamps/brackets and edge protection; choose TC/ST according to the environment
  • Check the length for thermal expansion and movement; avoid stretching/compression
  • Use only approved one-piece fittings (Series 43/48/77) and the correct crimping tool

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

What makes GlobalCore different from traditional hoses?

Series-based pressure (the same across all sizes), a small bend radius, one-piece fittings and Interlock approval without skiving.

Does the hose have to be skived before assembly?

No. GlobalCore uses one-piece fittings. Even Interlock with Series 77 requires no skiving.

Which cover should I choose – Standard, TC or ST?

Choose TC or ST in abrasive environments. TC provides considerable extra abrasion resistance; ST provides maximum protection.

Does GlobalCore meet ISO 18752?

Yes. GlobalCore is based on ISO 18752.
